Manila PESO opens MB Job Fair at the Manila Hotel tomorrow

The Manila Public Employment Services Office in collaboration with the Manila Bulletin and The Manila Hotel holds a one-day Job Fair at The Tent of Manila Hotel tomorrow August 12, 2022.

The event designed to help companies which are rebounding from the pandemic find employees to join their workforce, as well as to assist jobseekers, most of whom may be fresh or recent graduates.

The Job Fair caters to applicants from the city as well as other surrounding communities. It also aims to help address the current unemployment issue which has reached 2.9 million or a rate of 6% in a latest report.

The Manila PESO headed by Director Fernan Bermejo has initiated and held several similar events in the effort of the city government to mitigate this concern.

The MB Classified Job Fair will have participating companies from various business sectors and industries. Thus a wide spectrum of job positions for applicants of different courses and backgrounds will be available.

Aside from Manila Bulletin and Manila Hotel, other participating companies include UnionBank, Tim Hortons, LServ, Vikings, EuroMed, the Probe Group, PhilTrust Bank, among others.

Applicants are to register online by going to mbjobfair.mb.com.ph. They will fill up the information page and attach an electronic copy of their resume on pdf format.

Each one will be assigned an applicant code which will be sent to their email addresses. They will also be given a specific timeslot in which they are instructed to come.

This will ensure that social distancing will be observed, having a limited number of applicants in the area at any given time.

Applicants are advised to come in business attire at least 15 minutes before their allotted time. Other health protocols such as temperature check and hand sanitation will also be observed upon entry.

Participants will also be required to present their vaccination cards.

Director Bermejo and Manila Hotel President Atty. Joey Lina will lead the ribbon cutting ceremony at 9am opening the Job Fair.
