Zamboanga City Police Office awarded P700,000 for being Best City Police Office


ZAMBOANGA CITY – The Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) was feted with recognition and incentives during a program held in honor of their recent victory as Best City Police Office during the 121st Police Service Anniversary.

The amount of P700,000 was announced by Zamboanga City Mayor John Dalipe as an incentive for the ZCPO.

“Your victory inspired us in putting a premium in our service to the Zamboanga people,” said Dalipe.

Police Col. Alexander Lorenzo, Zamboanga City acting police director, vowed to continue their good performance with another victory next year.

“We will not be contented with this. Starting now we will prepare for a back-to-back win,” said Lorenzo.

The ZCPO was also awarded with a Certificate of Recognition by the Zamboanga city government.

The program was also attended by City Administrator Mario Yanga, the ZCPO advisory council headed by Fr, Jeff Taib, police station commanders, other officials and personnel.

Prior to the program, the ZCPO held a grand welcome and motorcade for Lorenzo during his arrival here after receiving the award from President Bongbong Marcos during a program in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
