BIR reshuffles RDOs to improve tax collection drive


The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has started reshuffling revenue district officers (RDOs) considered by insiders as field commanders in the collection of taxes nationwide.

The initial batch of 18 RDOs was included in the three-page travel assignment order signed by BIR Commissioner Lilia Catris Guillermo, which also included other key field officials.

Insiders disclosed that more rotations will be carried out shortly to further enhance tax collection operations. The bureau has more than 120 RDOs.

Among the RDOs given new assignments were: Jose Maria L. Hernandez, from Sta. Cruz, Manila to Quirino Province; Eralin B. De Aro, from Roxas City to Antique; Marilou S. Nesit, from Antique to Iloilo City, Reymarie T. Dela Cruz, from Cagayan to North Quezon; Maria Isabel B. Utit, from Quirino Province to Cagayan.

Vicente J. Tady, from Catbalongan, Samar to Borlongan, Samar; Eduardo B. Gayas, from Borlongan to Catbalongan; Ma. Jonelle S. Faune, from Malaybalay, Bukidnon to Ozamis City; Mampay U. Pangcoga, from Ozamis City to Malaybalay; Abdullah D. Bandrang, from Marikina City to North Quezon City.

Arnulfo A. Galapia, from North Quezon City to Tondo-San Nicolas, Manila; Michael Remir H. Macatangay, from East Batangas to East Makati; Jefferson B. Tabboga, from Plaridel, Bulacan to Paco-Pandacan-Sta. Ana-San Andres, Manila; Emilia C. Combes, from Tondo-San Nicolas to Marikina City; Rebe D. Detablan, from North Quezon to Sta. Cruz, Manila; Frits S. Buendia, from group supervisor to assistant RDO of Caloocan City.

Also given new assignment were Jesus F. Cabasal from chief of assessment division of Cavite-Batangas-Mindoro-Romblon region to chief of East NCR and Catherine Rose R. Tortoles, chief of the prosecution division in the national office.
