We remember British-Australian singer Olivia Newton-John as one of the greatest female entertainers of our generation. Olivia passed away at her ranch in California on Aug. 8, following a battle with breast cancer.
"Olivia has been a symbol of triumphs and hope for over 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer. We ask that everyone please respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time," Olvia's husband John Easterling wrote on Instagram.
Born on Sept. 26, 1948, Olivia was the youngest child of Professor Brin Newton-John and Irene, daughter of Nobel Prize-winning physicist Max Born. When she was five, she and her family moved to Melbourne, Australia. In 1973, she debuted her album "Let Me Be There," already her third solo album. The same name also hit the top 10 and the rest is history.

1) Best Female Country Vocal Performance - Olivia won her first Grammy for the song "Let Me Be There" at the Grammy Awards in 1974.
2) I Honestly Love You (1974) - Olivia's signature song that went to No. 1 both in the US and Canada. Her first No. 1 song spent two weeks on the top of the US chart and sold more than one million copies.
3) I Honestly Love You (1974) - At the 17th Grammy Awards, Olivia won Record of the Year and Best Pop Female Vocal Performance. The same song was nominated for Song of the Year, but it lost to The Way We Were by Barbra Streisand.
4) Have You Never Been Mellow (1975) - Her fifth solo album is her first No. 1 album in the US. The album spawned the hits "Please, Mister, Please" and the title song.
5) Grease (1978) - Olivia launched her movie career via the blockbuster musical film "Grease" opposite John Travolta. The original soundtrack of the film also dropped hit songs such as "You're The One That I Want," "Summer Nights," and "Hopelessly Devoted To You."
6) Xanadu (1980) - Olivia's second film "Xanadu" wasn't a major success, but it was a hit on the music chart. Her song "Magic" from the movie's soundtrack went to No. 1.
7) Physical (1981) - The song "Physical" marked her fifth and final No. 1 song in the US. It stayed on top of the music chart for 10 weeks. "Physical" became an anthem among gym goers, despite being known as the biggest song about sex.
8) Twist of Fate (1983) - Olivia and John teamed up in the romantic-comedy film "Twist of Fate," hoping to duplicate the success they achieved in "Grease." But just like Xanadu, "Twist of Fate" was not a big success at the box office. The original soundtrack, however, gave hits such as "Livin' In Desperate Times," and the title song.
9) Honors and advocacy - Some honors Olivia received include the Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II, Humanitarian Awards for Breast Cancer (1998-1999), Hollywood Walk of Fame, Goodwill Ambassador to the United Nations Environment Program, Order of Australia, National Living Treasure, etc.
10) Grace and Gratitude - In 2006, Newton-John released "Grace and Gratitude," which was released exclusively through Walgreens to coincide with her wellness products for women. The album aimed to help listeners relax, foxnews.com reported.
