DepEd Las Piñas launches Project GUIDE


The Department of Education (DepED) Las Piñas launched “Project GUIDE” that will help parents of students in becoming educators themselves.

Alelee Aguilar-Andanar, daughter of Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar congratulated the DepEd School Division Office on the successful launching of Project GUIDE on Tuesday, Aug. 9.

“The Department of Education has come up with a program to help the parents as they take on a bigger role in becoming educators themselves,” Andanar said.

She lamented the severe effects of the pandemic on the educational system.

Andanar praised parents for their vital role in the schooling process as home educators.

Project GUIDE, which stands for Goal to Unite Involvement for a Desired Enhancement for Parents, is a comprehensive program that aims to proactively involve parents in the learning methods of their children.

Also present during the launching of Project GUIDE were Las Piñas City Councilor Rex Riguera, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Juan C. Obierna, Education Supervisor Dr. Gina L. Aguitez, school heads, guidance advocates, and educational program supervisors from the 43 public schools in the city.
