75-year-old man arrested for alleged sexual abuse of niece

TARLAC CITY -- A 75-year-old man was arrested for alleged sexual abuse of his niece considered as a person with disability (PWD) in Brgy. Calingcuan, Tarlac City on Sunday, August 7.

Based on the report from the Office of Police Lieutenant Colonel Jerrold Jake C. Manguerra, Chief of Police of Tarlac City Police, the suspect identified as Isagani Gonzalez Lozano was arrested after the 21-year-old deaf and mute victim lodged a complaint against him, who is a resident of Brgy. Maligaya, Tarlac City.

The victim has been living in the house of the suspect’s daughter in Brgy. Calingcuan, Tarlac City.

On August 7, 2022 at about 2:00 a.m., while the victim was sleeping, the suspect entered her room and allegedly carried out his sexual desire.

Before proceeding to the Tarlac City Police Station, the victim had talked to her sister and revealed her sufferings against her uncle.

The sister comforted the victim and when she had the courage, they immediately proceeded to Philippine National Police to file a complaint.

The victim narrated her ordeal while the investigator was putting them on record.

Thereafter, the TCPS police personnel proceeded to the place mentioned by the victim, resulting in the arrest of the suspect.

Suspect is now under the custody of Tarlac City Police Station for proper disposition while pertinent documents are being readied for filing in court.
