TACLOBAN CITY – A 15-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped by men onboard a white van Sunday, August 7, in Ormoc City, Leyte.
She was found the following day, Monday, August 8, in Ormoc. The teen victim was left in Barangay Camp Downes, only a few meters away from their house.
The victim's father, a driver, reported to the Ormoc City Police Station 1 that his daughter was kidnapped by unidentified men riding a white van around 7 p.m.
The victim was able to send a message that she was being tailed by a white van when she went out to buy something from a store.
Posts immediately circulated online in search of the victim.
In an interview with the victim, she claimed that she was brought to an abandoned room. She added that she did not recognize the place where she was taken by the suspects.
She narrated that the suspects only asked about his father’s personal life and whereabouts.
The victim was brought to the OSPA Farmers Medical Center in Ormoc for a physical examination. There were no traces that said the victim was molested or physically abused.
During the course of the investigation, it was found out that the suspects sent a message to the victim’s father that they have his daughter.
They demanded that the father show himself to the alleged kidnappers before they set her free.
The police are still investigating to know the motive of the incident.
The victim is home and in good physical condition.
