Drug pusher nabbed, P209,000 shabu seized in Quezon buy-bust

TIAONG, Quezon – A suspected drug pusher was arrested in a buy-bust operation here Saturday, August 6.

The suspect was identified as Melchor de Ocampo Gutierrez, alias “Puti,” 42.

The Special Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) led by Police Lt. Ramil Malipol arrested the suspect after he sold suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer.

Eleven grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P209,000 and a fan knife or “balisong” were recovered from the suspect.

Suspect faces charges for violating Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and Batas Pambansa Bilang 6.

Seized drugs were brought to the Quezon Provincial Forensic Unit for laboratory examination and custody.
