An online training for gender mainstreaming monitoring system (GMMS) will be held by the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) in September 2022.
“GMMS is an online knowledge management tool to monitor the gender mainstreaming efforts of National Government Agencies (NGAs), government-owned and controlled corporations, state universities and colleges (SUCs) and other government organizations with the exception of the local government units (LGUs),” said PCW.
The system, according to the Commission, intends to ensure that government agencies, SUCs, and corporations are complying to Gender and Development (GAD)-related laws and international commitment.
Apart from the online training, new users of the GMMS, will also be given a series of online orientations on using the system. Although the training is free of charge, PCW reminded the public that this is only intended for GMMS encoders, GAD Focal Point System of Central NGA officers, as well as main campuses of SUCs.
The training will also be divided into two batches with a maximum of 25 participants per batch.
The first batch of the training will be held on September 6, 2022 while the second batch will be conducted on September 8, 2022. Both of these will be launched from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.
“This training is free and will be on a first come, first served basis,” said PCW. Interested applicants may visit the Commission’s website in order to access the registration link.
