Ex-cop wanted for murder and alleged leader of gun for hire group nabbed in Pangasinan


PANGASINAN -- A former police officer and alleged leader of the notorious Magpali gun for hire criminal group operating in Region 1 including Pangasinan was arrested on Sunday, August 7.

According to the statement of Philippine National Police, the dismissed cop was identified as Lt. Col. Wilson M. Magpali who was arrested by operatives of Luzon Field Unit of the PNP Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (PNP-IMEG) in Brgy. Legaspi, Tayug, Pangasinan.

Maggpali has standing warrant of arrest for murder issued by Presiding Judge Nyerson Dexter Tito Quilala Tualla of Regional Trial Court, First Judicial Region, Branch 28, San Fernando City, La Union with no bail recommended.

Recovered from Magpali were a Caliber 9mm Beretta Pistol with Serial Number M14880Z, with PNP property markings, and three magazines with ammunition.

The accused is now in the custody of the PNP-IMEG Luzon Field Unit for documentation prior to presentation and return of the court of origin which issued the warrant of arrest.
