The family of the late president Fidel V. Ramos (FVR) has expressed its gratitude for the assistance extended by the Office of the President (OP) and other government agencies for the wake, which started Wednesday, Aug. 4.
A statement from the Ramos family said the OP and other agencies have provided support to ensure the “peaceful, orderly and safe” observance of the wake and state burial of the former president.
Ramos, the Philippines’ 12th president, died on Sunday, July 31. He was 94.
His wake is being held at the Heritage Memorial Park in Taguig City. Ramos will be accorded a state funeral and interred at the Libingan ng mga Bayani on Aug. 9.

“The former First Lady Amelita ‘Ming’ M. Ramos and family will be receiving current and past leaders from the Executive, Legislative and Judiciary during the wake,” the statement read.
The Ramos family has released a viewing schedule for the information and guidance of the public.
