Darryl Yap (Vincentiments)

Director Darryl Yap has nothing but gratitude for those who supported his latest movie "Maid In Malacanang" which opened on Wednesday, Aug. 3.

"Walang Hanggang Pasasalamat Lord! Hindi lang sa biyaya at mga pagkakataon kundi sa mga balakid na iyong pinapahintulutan para ako ay mas tumatag at mahasa," said Darryl on Facebook on Aug. 4.

Darryl shared his appreciation in a Facebook post by Vincentiments with the caption: "Congrats to all those who build and destroy MAID IN MALACAÑANG!"

The youthful director also thanked the Marcoses, Viva Films under Vic Del Rosario Jr., and the stars of the movie for making the project possible.

The dramedy tells about the last 72 hours of the Marcoses in Malacanang before they fled the country in 1986.

Around 12 midnight on Aug. 3, Darryl also went live on Facebook to thank those who went to watch the movie. He also said that he will tour the cinemas today, Aug. 4, "probably during the last full show."

Maraming salamat po for the successful first day showing or screening of 'Maid In Malacanang,' " he said.

On the mahjong scene, Darryl invited the Carmelite nuns to watch the movie.

"I would like to invite our Sisters to watch the film; if they are ostentatious about details, I don’t think there is a need for this 'ouch' and 'involvement.' Pampalipas-oras man o pangmagkakaibigang-laro," the director said.
