A top honcho of a rising networking company based here gave this advice for people who aim to improve their income via multi-level marketing (MLM).

Justhon Ang, chief executive officer and president of Uprise, admitted in an interview that there is a negative impression attached to networking.

“There are several factors why people have negative impression towards networking. The problem there is they felt they got scammed because they can’t sell their products. Why? The products are expensive, overpriced. So they thought they got scammed because their products are not sellable,” Ang said.

Ang said problem also arises when one joins MLM without really understanding its system.

“Actually, MLM has a very good platform. It depends on the ethics of the company. Every company has different cultures, different system, different teachings. It varies a lot,” said Ang.

MLM is a modern direct sales compensation plan where distributors are paid depending on their personal sales and sales of their recruits.

Ang discussed the potential of MLM during the first anniversary celebration of Uprise Saturday, July 30, at the Pacific Grand Ballroom of the Cebu City Waterfront Hotel and Casino.

Uprise was formed by Ang and his brothers Jethro, the company’s vice president, and Jrron, the firm’s chief operating officer.

“Uprise is a multi-level marketing but this time we focus on basic commodity. This is the first network company in the Philippines that focuses on rice,” said Justhon.

Before building Uprise, Jushton worked for a networking company that sold health and wellness products.

Jushton disclosed that he was earning big but the Covid-19 pandemic crippled the company.

He was forced to settle down in his hometown in Cebu and it was then that he and his brothers decided to form their own networking company.

“Me and my brothers came up with an idea to make another company same with the previous company but this time it’s not going to be difficult. Instead of selling health beauty products that are sometimes overpriced.

People are having difficult time to sell those products to be honest. We offer rice,” Justhon said.

“The reason why we started the company for the distributors to be more confident of their own products because first of all, rice is the No. 1 product in the Philippines. No question, if you gonna offer it, it’s always a yes because every household has rice. Filipinos are rice eaters,” Justhon added.

Justhon revealed that his family is into rice importation for the past 20 years and that made it easier for them to put up a company whose primary product is rice.

A year after the company was formed, Uprise has already opened 10 branches in the Visayas with more than 20,000 members, Jushton said.

At least 1,000 networkers attended the company’s anniversary celebration where “millionaires,” “top earners,” “best speakers,” and “best performers” were inducted.

“We have a lot of success stories here. The goal is to build a networking company that is more efficient and more precise and easier for networkers to do the business and that’s why for the past 12 months, the growth of the business was kinda fast because the importance of rice is self-explanatory,” Jushton said.

Justhon said for as low as P2,000 and for as high as P12,000, one can already become a member of Uprise.

“Basically we’re offering a business, a part-time business. When you join the company, you buy the package. Once you buy the package, automatic you’ll have the products. You have the products, and you get the benefits. You’ll get a lifetime discount,” said Jushton.

Jushton said that at Uprise, the higher the package, the higher the income.

“When you join, you will have your own business account. So every time you refer people, you will have an income. You will have compensation and you get to receive a payout every week,” said Justhon.

Uprise is selling a premium rice called Jasmine which is imported from Vietnam.

“We made a compensation plan. You shell out less money but you will earn big and we have lifetime discounts,” said Justhon.

Registered with Securities and Exchange Commission, Uprise will soon open branches in Mindanao and Luzon.

The company will also will launch more products, said Jushton.

Jushton said the culture that Uprise has built sets it apart from other networking companies.

“Here we always teach the people, remind the people to do the right thing,” Jushton said.
