55-year old blind man chosen as beneficiary of Tinglayan police’s housing project in Kalinga

TINGLAYAN, Kalinga – A 55-year old blind man has been chosen as a beneficiary of a house unit from Tinglayan Municipal Police Station in Kalinga under ‘Pabahay Handog ng Kapulisan ng Tinglayan.’

Personnel of Tinglayan MPS led Capt. Luis Bulao, Jr., chief of police, has gone beyond their mandate of serving and protecting the people.

These police personnel also build homes for their chosen beneficiary in collaboration with the local government unit of Tinglayan headed by Mayor Sacrament Gumilab, and stakeholders.

The construction of the house started on May 22, 2022 at Sitio Tangilig, Central Bangad, Tinglayan, Kalinga with the help and assistance of the relatives of Armazan Sad-ang, the chosen beneficiary.

The house was turned over to his wife Pacita Sad-ang during the simple ceremonial turnover on August 1.

The Pabahay Project is in line with the 27th Police Community Relations (PCR) Month Celebration with the theme: “Ugnayang Pulisya at Komunidad Tungo sa Mapayapa, Maayos at Maunlad na Pamayanan,” which benefitted indigent families of Lower Bangad, Tinglayan, Kalinga.

Armazan Sad-ang, 55, and totally blind was chosen as the beneficiary of the said project as he has no permanent home and his three children are living with him including the family of his one married child.

Since they can’t afford to provide all the materials to build a new house, he went to Tinglayan MPS and humbly sought help and assistance.

The Philippine National Police’s Pabahay Project aims to give decent houses to indigent families in the community.
