Enrollment for the incoming school year (SY) 2022-2023 continues to increase based on the latest data released by the Department of Education (DepEd) on Monday, Aug. 1.
As of 7 a.m., data from the DepEd’s Learner Information System (LIS) for SY 2022-2023 showed that the number of registered students has reached a total of 11,663,325.
The enrollment period started on July 25 and will end on the first day of classes on Aug. 22.
DepEd data showed that Region IV-A has the largest number of registrants with 1,819,467 followed by the National Capital Region (NCR) with 1,531,374, and Region III with 1,178,813.

DepEd reminded parents and students that there are three enrollment methods including in-person, remote, and dropbox enrollment.
Moreover, DepEd noted that Alternative Learning System (ALS) learners can also enroll in-person or digitally.
During the national kick-off of 2022 “Brigada Eskwela” on Monday, Vice President and DepEd Secretary Sara Duterte said that DepEd is “all set” to open schools for SY 2022-2023 on Aug. 22.
