Bulacan gov't collects more than 250 bags of blood through Mobile Blood Donation


Bulacan Gov. Daniel R. Fernando reported on Monday, August 1, that the Provincial Health Office has collected a total of 252 bags of blood through the Mobile Blood Donation (MBD) program at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium in the City of Malolos.

The program was conducted in cooperation with the Central Luzon Center for Health Development- Regional Voluntary Blood Services Program and Damayang Filipino Movement, Inc.

Bulacan residents in dire need of blood transfusion at the government and private hospitals in the province will be the beneficiaries of the collected blood.

The event was in line with the celebration of the National Blood Donor’s Month.

Gov. Fernando and Vice Gov. Alexis C. Castro personally thanked the blood donors for their heroic act that could save a lot of lives.

“Maraming salamat po sa inyong ginawang pagmamalasakit sa ating kapwa Bulakenyo. Diyos na po ang bahalang gumanti sa inyong kabutihan (Thank you so much for your concern to our fellow Bulakenyos. God will bless you for your kindness)," the governor said.

Some of the blood donors are members of the Philippine National Police-Bulacan, Kabalikat, Ulirang Ina, Barangay Health Workers (BHW) Federation of Bulacan, Triskelion De Bulacan Provincial, 304th Army Reservist, Civil Security Unit, Provincial Civil Security and Jail Management Office, PGB employees, Bureau of Fire Protection-Bulacan, and Pulo ng Iilan Masonic Lodge No. 439.
