P884K illegal drugs seized, 14 suspects nabbed in Bulacan


Police confiscated some P884,000 worth of shabu and arrested 14 persons in separate anti-drugs operations in Bulacan on Friday and Saturday.

Col. Charlie A. Cabradilla, acting Bulacan police director, identified the first arrested drug suspect as Norhata Hassan of Silang Cavite.

Hassan was nabbed in a buy-bust operation conducted by joint elements of Bulacan Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), Malolos City Police, and Special Operations Unit 3-Police Drug Enforcement Group (SOU3-PDEG) in Barangay Bulihan, Malolos at about 9:15 p.m. of July 29.

Seized from Hassan were 70 grams of shabu worth around P476,000, a weighing scale, a pouch, and the buy-bust money, according to the police report.

Meanwhile, operatives of Bulacan PIU-Police Drug Enforcement Unit, Guiguinto Police and SOU3-PDEG arrested suspects Faisal Lawanza, Faisal Rampa, and Makakna Makaangon, all of Fairview, Quezon City, in an entrapment in Brgy. Sta. Cruz, Guiguinto.

Recovered from them were 14 sachets of shabu weighing more or less 60 grams with a street value of P408,000, and marked money.

Ten more individuals were apprehended by the police in a series of anti-illegal drugs operations in Balagtas, Bulakan, Malolos, San Rafael, and San Jose del Monte.

The operations resulted in the confiscation of 23 sachets of suspected shabu, one brick and three sachets of dried marijuana leaves, a cigarette pack, and the buy-bust money. (Freddie C. Velez)
