National University extended its win streak to three after squeezing out a 72-68 victory over Adamson to clinch a spot in the quarterfinals of the PG Flex Linoleum UCBL Pre-Season tournament Friday at the SGS Gym in Quezon City.

The Bulldogs leaned on a big fourth quarter show to clip the Falcons’ wings and hand them their first taste of defeat. NU remained spotless through three games and joined University of the Philippine as one of the only two teams to have already secured the quarters berth so far with four playing dates still left in the eliminations.
Steve Nash Enriquez starred for the Bulldogs with 19 points and five boards while John Lloyd Clemente and Omar John backed him up with 10 and 8 points, respectively.
Adamson, which fell to a 2-1 record, was paced by Matty Erolon and Eli Ramos with 17 and 12 points, respectively.
Centro Escolar University also pumped some life to its playoff hopes following a 103-88 victory over University of Batangas.

Over at the Group A action, Emilio Aguinaldo College likewise boosted its Last 8 hopes by trouncing Philippine Christian University-Dasmarinas, 88-65. Boging Bajon and Nat Consejo combined for 27 points as the Generals improved to a 2-4 standing.
