Two Antipolo City residents who were scholars of the local government’s educational scholarship program has graduated with Latin honors.
The office of City Mayor Casimiro ‘Junjun’ Ynares, III, announced on its official Facebook page that the local government has taken pride following the academic achievement of two of its scholars, James Patrick Oleriana of Barangay Dalig, and Mary Justine N. Castillo of Barangay San Roque, all from Antipolo City.


Ynares said Oleriana graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Bachelor of Arts, major in Journalism at the University of Rizal System (URS)- Angono Campus, while Castillo graduated cum laude with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Banking at the Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU).
Castillo was a working student mother during college selling food snacks, biscuits, candies, and even pencils during exams. She also became an online seller while studying.
The two graduates were part of the ‘Iskolar Ng Antipolo’, the educational scholarship program of the Antipolo City Government.
