The Ateneo De Manila University (ADMU) has opened a "scan-to-pay" donation channel to assist the family of Jeneven Bandiala, the university security guard who was killed in a shooting incident inside the ADMU campus in Katipunan Avenue, Quezon City on Sunday, July 24.
"Security Guard Jeneven Bandiala, one of our security guards at the Loyola Heights campus, was killed in the senseless crime at Areté last 24 July 2022. The entire Ateneo de Manila community extends its sincerest condolences to Jeneven's family and friends. The University is extending financial assistance to his loved ones at this difficult time," the ADMU said in a Facebook post.
"For those who would also like to extend financial assistance to S/G Bandiala's loved ones, the University has opened a scan-to-pay donation channel," it added.
The university has a quick response (QR) code that individuals can scan using their phones and other devices. It will prompt them to the website where they can start processing their donations.

According to the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Bandiala was shot by Dr. Chao-Tiao Yumol when he tried to prevent him from escaping after the shooting that also killed former Lamitan City Mayor Rosita "Rose" Furigay and her executive assistant Victor Capistrano.
The QCPD has filed multiple criminal charges against the suspect. It also said that the incident is considered a "closed case."
"Once again, we condemn this act of violence, and we hope justice is served. Let us keep Jeneven, as well as Rose Furigay and Victor Capistrano, in our prayers." ADMU said.
