A fluvial parade marking the Taguig River Festival and barangay fiesta turned into tragedy when two boats collided, leaving six persons injured and one missing.
An initial report from the Taguig City Police Station’s Substation 4 stated that the boat collision happened at about 4:40 p.m. in Tuktukan River in Barangay Tuktukan, Taguig.

According to the police, a fluvial parade was held as part of the celebration of the fiesta of Barangay Santa Ana in Taguig.
One boat carrying 14 passengers collided with another boat with 12 passengers. The boat which struck the other boat sank, forcing the passengers to transfer to the other boat, which also sank.
Videos of the tragedy made rounds on social media. One Facebook video posted by netizen Luar Toti Cruz showed the river accident.
Six persons were taken to hospitals for treatment, according to the Taguig police. One of them, identified as Camille Esteban, 30, a call center agent and a resident of Bambang, was taken to the Rabi Hospital and is in critical condition.
The five others were Vince Viar, Mark Grealt Pinera, JC Lubarbig, Glebin Hipolito, and Renier Abaya, who were taken to the Taguig Pateros District Hospital and are in stable condition.
The police identified the missing person as Chester Romero, 30, a resident of Bambang, Taguig. Search and rescue operations are being done, the city government said in a statement.
The other passengers in the boats, the Taguig police said, were a 17-year-old boy, Jan Mikhail Balona, 19; Mark Amper, 19; Aka Justine, 15; Aka Den, 16; Manuel Charrie Bolen, 18; Ian Michael Balona, 20; Johnnyboy Castillo, 29; Ronnie Sarmiento, 40; Francile Pardible, 27; Aka Ken, 10; Carl Adrian Tura, 19; Jeff Cortigera, 40; Reyven Roxas, 20; Angeline Balala, 21; Aka Nier, 14; Maxine San Jose, 19; Kenshin Rodriguez, 19; and Genesis Paylan, 20.
