The Pasig City government and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) inaugurated the Buting Linear Park in Pasig City on Tuesday, July 26.

Mayor Vico Sotto, along with Rep. Roman Romulo and MMDA Officer in Charge Engr. Bal Melgar, led the inauguration of the park.
"Tuwang tuwa po ako sa ating inauguration ng ating Linear Park (I am very happy to inaugurate our Linear Park)," Sotto said.
"Alam naman natin sa Metro Manila, sa lungsod ng Pasig, talagang limitadong limitado ang lugar kung saan pwede maglaro ang mga bata, kung saan pwede mag-exercise ang mga senior citizens (We know that in Metro Manila, especially in the city of Pasig, the area where children can play, where senior citizens can exercise is really limited)," he told reporters, adding more open spaces should be developed.
The mayor also thanked all the people who supported the project for their efforts and contributions.
The linear park is part of the MMDA's "I Love Metro Manila Adopt-a-Park Project."
The park has convenient spaces with various playground sets and exercise equipment that will cater to both children and adults in the city.
The Adopt-A-Park Project aims to rehabilitate public spaces in Metro Manila local government units (LGUs) into functional green parks.
