The Caloocan City Police Station (CCPS) said the victim, Ferdinand Reyes, 32, a resident of Navotas City, died on the spot from multiple gunshot wounds.

According to the police, the victim was traveling on board his bicycle along Tanigue Street in Barangay 14, Caloocan City at around 2:06 p.m. Monday when the suspect suddenly approached him from behind and shot him.

The suspect then fled on board a motorcycle driven by another man.

Caloocan City police chief Col. Samuel Mina said that the victim was previously arrested in Navotas City for illegal drugs.

“Binantayan nung suspect ang victim sa area dahil diyan siya nagbabagsak ng shabu. Pagbaril niya naglakad siya at umangkas sa motor (The suspect waited for the victim in the area because that’s where he was dropping shabu. After he shot the victim, he walked and rode the motorcycle),” he said.

The police chief said that they are now coordinating with the Navotas Police while a follow-up operation is being conducted by the CCPS to locate and identify the suspects.
