BTS’ J-Hope enters Billboard Hot 100 anew; flies to US for Lollapalooza 


BTS’ J-Hope’s new song debuted on Billboard Hot 100 as the singer flew to the US for the Lollapalooza festival.

According to Billboard, J-Hope’s song “Arson,” released on July 15, debuted at No. 96 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart dated July 30.

This is J-Hope’s third time to enter the Billboard Hot 100 as a solo artist.

His “More” song, also a part of his solo album “Jack in the Box,” debuted at No. 82 on the July 16-dated Billboard Hot 100 chart.

In 2019, J-Hope’s “Chicken Noodle Soup” debuted at No. 81 on the chart.

Spotify Charts also announced that “Jack in the Box” debuted at No. 5 on the weekly top albums global chart for the period July 15 to 21, “the highest new entry on Top Albums Global.”

Meanwhile, J-Hope left South Korea on July 25 for the US to perform at the Lollapalooza music festival in Grant Park, Chicago from July 28 to 31.

J-Hope will headline the Bud Light Seltzer main stage on July 31 from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. Before him, the performers will be Erica Banks, DJO, Charli XCX and The Kid Laroi.

Lollapalooza said that J-Hope is the “first South Korean artist to headline a main stage at a major US music festival.”

“We're thrilled to announce #jhope of @bts_bighit will headline #Lolla 2022 on Sun, July 31st! His performance will make history, cementing him as the first South Korean artist to headline a main stage at a major U.S. music festival,” Lollapalooza announced on Twitter.

According to J-Hope, “This is going to be my first performance at @lollapalooza It's a thrilling new challenge that I think will become a really memorable chapter in my musical history! I'm gonna give you guys a great show. Get ready to get crazyyyyyy!”
