Notorious drug pusher shot dead in Tarlac City buy-bust


TARLAC CITY – Police killed a notorious drug pusher in a buy-bust operation before dawn Saturday, July 23, in Barangay Ungot here.

The suspect was identified by his alias “Mart.” He was considered a top priority regional high-value individual-drug personality.

Mart drew and fired his gun when he sensed he was dealing with a police poseur-buyer. Lawmen retaliated, killing the suspect on the spot.

Recovered at the scene were one caliber 9mm Armscor with a magazine and live ammunition, four empty fired cartridge cases, four pieces heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet with suspected shabu, and the two P1,000 marked money.

The body of the suspect was brought to Lotus Funeral Homes here for autopsy.

Police Col. Erwin Sanque, Tarlac provincial director, said their untiring efforts to eliminate all forms of illegal activities continue. He added they continue to invigorate their anti-criminality campaign to ensure public safety and maintain peace and order in Tarlac.

He said the death of Mart is a warning to illegal drug personalities to stop their nefarious activities. “May this serve as a stern warning to those drug personalities who are still engaged in the distribution of illegal drugs.”
