PNP gets computer sets, CCTVs, mountain bikes worth P4M in donations


The Philippine National Police (PNP) received various police equipment including computer sets, closed-circuit televisions (CCTVs), and mountain bikes worth P4,048,100 which were donated by the PNP Foundation Inc. (PNPFI).

Police Maj. Gen. Ronaldo Olay, PNP Director for Logistics, and Arch. Ka Kuen Chua, PNPFI Board of Trustee, led the ceremonial turnover of donations and signing of the deed of donation at the PNP Star Officers’ Lounge in Camp Crame, Quezon City on Thursday, July 21.

The PNP foundation donated to the PNP 102 sets of Intel Core i5 desktop 10th Generation with H410M-H motherboard eight gigabyte DDR4 Kingston MM desktop memory; 480 gigabyte solid state drive (SSD); computer casings; mouse and keyboard; and computer monitors.

The PNP also obtained 61 units of printers, five laptops, 17 projectors, 18 portable public address (PA) systems with wireless microphones, four CCTVs, and 21 Sunpeed mountain bikes.

“All of your donations will really go a long way in enhancing the effectiveness and productivity of our police officers in performing their mandated law enforcement and public safety functions,” said Police Lt. Gen. Vicente Danao, PNP Officer-in-Charge.

He thanked the PNPFI for their “generosity” which “complements efforts to modernize the police organization, particularly in the improvement of their capability to move, shoot, communicate, and investigate.”

Meanwhile, Olay said that the donated equipment will be distributed to different police field units.

Among the recipients are the PNP Forensic Group (FG), 1st Maneuver Platoon/Tech Support, and different police stations in Cagayan Valley (Region 2); Rizal province; Plaridel, Quezon; Batangas; Pangasinan; Puerto Princesa; Albay; Masbate; Iloilo; Roxas City; Davao (Region 11); Soccsksargen (Region 12); Surigao del Norte and Surigao del Sur.
