Centro Escolar University School of Nursing signed a memorandum of agreement with St. Luke’s Medical Center signifying future collaborations on student internship, employment, and research.
St. Luke’s Medical Center Executive Vice President for One Healthcare System. Dr. Dennis P. Serrano spoke on behalf of their President and CEO Dr. Arturo De La Peña to thank Centro Escolar University for this partnership.
“We will not mince words on saying that we need you. We need your graduates, we need the expertly trained and qualified graduates that you turn out every year,“ Dr. Serrano said in his speech.
This joint undertaking unlocks opportunities for on-the-job training, employment in both local and international job markets, and for other collaborations that may benefit every Escolarians, not just in the Nursing program but also in the other allied health sciences programs.
“That is what we are here for today, to open that two-way door between CEU and St. Luke’s Medical Center. I’m confident that it will be a strong partnership, and it will be a mutually beneficial and long lasting partnership,” he added.
Likewise, CEU President and Chief Academic Officer Dr. Ma. Cristina D. Padolina sees the partnership as a sign of growth for the best interest of the students.
The University establishing ties with reputable institutions like St. Luke’s Medical Center is a way of fulfilling its commitment to give the best education to its clientele.
The CEU School of Nursing led by Dr. Elvira L. Urgel is one of the first schools to offer limited face-to-face laboratory classes in the campus to continue providing education to its future nurses.
