Rizal provincial gov't offers 200k cash reward for info on killers of 2 traffic enforcers


The Rizal Provincial Government is offering a P200,000 reward for information that may lead to the identification of the killers of the two traffic enforcers who were shot to death in Cardona, Rizal on July 14.

In her post on Facebook, Governor Nina Ricci Ynares Chiongbian bared that the provincial government is offering the P200,000 reward to anyone who could provide information leading to the identity of the two riding in tandem suspects who shot and killed Angelito Tancingco, 57, and Jose Marcel Julian, 53, both traffic enforcers of Cardona Municipal Government.

Another fellow municipal worker, Kevin Jerome Cruz, was wounded in the shooting incident that happened at past 3:30 p.m. on July 14 on National Road in Barangay Real, Cardona.

In a belated news release from the office of Rizal Police Provincial Office (PPO) director Col. Dominic Baccay, it was learned that a CCTV footage caught the incident with the two traffic enforcers being shot by the back rider of a motorcycle driver following a heated altercation between the suspects and the victims.

The CCTV footage shows that prior to the shooting, one of the victims were reportedly having a heated altercation with the suspects.

The PPO has yet to issue an update on the killing of the two traffic enforcers.
