He turned 51 just last May 19.
Born to a blacksmith family in Barangay 10, San Paulo, San Nicolas, Ambrocio served the public for more than 10 years, starting as a community affairs assistant under the Office of the Governor from 1999 to 2001 before he tried his luck in politics and became Sangguniang Bayan member of San Nicolas from 2002 to 2010, Sangguniang Panlalawigan member from 2010 to 2013, and Sangguniang Bayan member again from 2013 to 2019.
He also became an ex-officio member of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan when he was elected president of the Philippine Councilors League-Ilocos Norte chapter and became a regular Ilocos Norte board member from 2019 to 2022.
A well-admired public speaker in his mother tongue (Ilocano), his biggest win in politics happened when he defeated Mayor Alfredo Valdez, the long-time serving mayor of San Nicolas, in the May elections.
Ambrocio is survived by his wife, Daphne, a homecare administrator in Loudale, California.
He will be succeeded by Vice Mayor Angel Miguel Hernando.
