Civil society association in Las Piñas gets DSWD accreditation, livelihood assistance

The Department of Social Welfare and Development-National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR) granted a certificate of accreditation to the 2021 Samahang Pagkakaisa ng Barangay Daniel Fajardo in Las Piñas City.

Las Pinas Mayor Imelda Aguilar said the association was given the certificate of accreditation after meeting the necessary requirements to become a legitimate civil society organization and a beneficiary of the sustainable livelihood program using the funds coming from the DSWD-NCR.

 Aguilar said the accreditation is part of the micro-enterprise development project of the agency.

 She said the DSWD-NCR awarded a total of P450,000 financial assistance for rice retailing and mini-grocery of the organization.

The mayor also said the sustainable livelihood program is also in partnership with the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO).

Aguilar said the project tied up with the Enhance Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) program to reach zero hunger.
