“Running Man Philippines” stars Glaiza de Castro, Ruru Madrid, Lexi Gonzales, Kokoy De Santos, Angel Guardian, Buboy Villar, and Mikael Daez visited the Philippine Embassy Korea and met Ambassador Ma. Theresa Dizon-De Vega.

The Philippine Embassy uploaded a photo of the ambassador with the “Running Man Philippines” stars and crew on July 15.

According to the embassy, Filipino creatives in Korea including Noreen Garcia, Gennie Kim and Sid Antiquera were also present and shared their experiences working as Filipino actors, talent scouts, managers and technical crew in Korea.

Dizon-De Vega gave her insights on the current trends and opportunities in Korea’s television, film, and over-the-top media (OTT) industries and how Filipino talent stands out in this arena.

Also joining the courtesy call were GMA Senior Vice President Lilybeth Rasonable, Vice President Janine Naca, and Director Rico Gutierrez.

In an Instagram post on July 13, Daez wrote, “About to sleep for a call time 6hrs from now but I finally decided to go through some photos from the first half of our trip. I consider this a once in a lifetime opportunity and there’s no better way to immortalize the memories than with some random snaps. I made it a point to take or collect a group photo with my running fam for each day that we’ve been here. This is just a couple of those. Most of the runners are probably asleep already as our days are always packed but it’s been an amazing ride so far!”

The embassy said “Running Man Philippines” will be filming in Seoul and in other parts of Korea for the whole summer of 2022 in partnership with the Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS), which airs the original show.
