“Right now, there are limitless opportunities for partnership. I am excited for what is to come. I think many things can be done here in Iloilo,” said Robredo in her first visit since here losing the presidency to Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr.

In particular, the non-government organization (NGO) is eyeing to expand the feeding program that Robredo’s office started during her time as Vice President.
“We want to make it comprehensive. It will not only be for pregnant mothers or toddlers, but also school-aged children,” Robredo said.
The NGO is looking to pilot the expanding feeding program in one town in Iloilo.

The former Vice President noted that the NGO is also looking at what has been done in Brazil and Peru where farmers and parents are given incentives as part of the feeding program.
Aside from feeding program, Angat Buhay is also prioritizing education, disaster response, and education programs.

Robredo thanked Ilonggo voters for making her win here and Iloilo.

She met Iloilo Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. and Mayor Jerry Treñas here.
Robredo attended a testimonial dinner for former Ilonggo Sen. Franklin Drilon, who retired from politics.
