Casa Luningning and Gallery Ninety present “Mongrel: Fracted Identity” exhibit by Mic Rahman. It explores the artist’s introspective impressions of street culture and its continuously flourishing identity. Through his multidisciplinary practice, Rahman aims to challenge the status quo in art and attempts to amplify its essence into transcendence; as he portrays conflicting cultural and even personal nuances with pervasive honesty.

ONGOING: ‘Affirmations: A Happy Mood’

Fitz Herrera’s latest exhibit titled “Affirmations: A Happy Mood” is an acknowledgment of the intrinsic truth of life, as he presents notions of acceptance and coexistence as an abstraction. The works aim to encourage the viewer in accepting perceived differences from various perspectives, as well as recognizing sameness, a common ground. The accordance of colors is the foundation of Herrera’s art practice, honoring balance and creating a sense of peace which he aims to manifest.
“Affirmations: A Happy Mood” runs until July 23.

Female artists come together to bring to life M Gallery’s latest exhibition dubbed “Lines & Splat.” Through it, these Filipinas prove that the creative field has more space for them as visual artists than just mere inspirational muses or model subjects of art. The exhibit features the works of Caress Banson, Jane Ebarle, Laa Latosa, Maan Premacio, Melissa Guevara, Meneline Wong, Valen Valero, Ambit Mendoza, Karen Picadizo, Marte Goyon, Renee Avila, Wence Zyl, Ysa Gernale, and Irish Galon.
“Line & Splat” runs until Aug. 7.
