Zia Quizon hints at tying the knot in poem for dad Dolphy

Singer Zia Quizon has penned a heartwarming poem for her late father, King of Comedy Dolphy Quizon.

It read:

"Dear Papa,
How I miss you,
How I wish that you were here,
To walk me down the aisle,
And smile,
And maybe shed a tear

"I knew this day was coming,
And I knew that you’d be gone,
But still I hear you humming,
Strumming to a joyful song

"No, it isn’t how I planned it,
But he’s all I hoped he’d be,
There is family that’s chosen,
And I chose what’s best for me

"Maybe somewhere you are watching,
Over on some distant star,
And I’m sorry you won’t be here,
But the truth is that you are."

She attached a photo of her and her late dad and a picture of what seemed to be wedding bands.

The text "aleska + zia" is also printed in a wooden case.

The comment section was immediately filled with congratulatory messages.

"So beautiful! Congratulations and best wishes, @ziaquizon (heart emojis)," Iza Calzado wrote.

Tim Pavino added: "Congratulations, my love! I know Tito is so proud of you, and we miss him so much. Love you, @ziaquizon ! Best wishes."

The likes of Martin Nievera, Pops Fernandez, and Lea Salonga, also showed support.

Meanwhile, Zia's mother, Zsa Zsa Padilla, simply wrote, "beautiful."

Aside from Zia, Dolphy and Zsa Zsa - who were together for more than two decades - also have an adopted daughter, Nicole.

Zia's poem was posted on Dolphy's 10th death anniversary.

Recall that the seasoned star, real name Rodolfo Vera Quizon Sr., passed away on July 10, 2012. He was 83 years old.
