Actor and director Phillip Lazaro has died.
This was announced by GMA Network in a social media post Monday.
It read: "Phillip Lazaro, actor and director, dies. Rest in peace."

Phillip's family is yet to issue a statement about his passing.
On Phillip's Facebook page, production designer Jay Custodio wrote, "It's a sad day today, one of the most finest and kind director that I've worked with just passed away."
"He is also one of the sweetest and supportive director! Praying for the repose of your sould Direk Philip Lazaro! You will be missed!"
"Thanks for all the laughs and chikahan! Love you Direk!!!"

Phillip started his acting career in the '90s, appearing in several films including "Wanted: Perfect Mother," "Dahil May Isang Ikaw," among others.
He was also a popular fixture in comedy bars.
Of late, Phillip was directing some series on GMA like "Prima Donnas," "Widow's Web," and "Nagbabagang Luha."
