PCSO provided P175 million worth of medical assistance in June
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) granted P175,264,118.51 medical assistance to 22,539 indigent Filipinos in June.
The said amount was allocated through PCSO's Medical Access Program (MAP) as per a report posted on their website.

According to PCSO, P40,917,194.55 was allocated for 2,737 indigent patients in the National Capital Region, P40,572,652.10 for 5,408 patients in the Northern and Central Luzon, P35,163,835.66 for 5,546 patients in Southern Tagalog and Bicol Region, P31,495,566.41 for 4,518 in the Visayas Region, and 27,114,869.79 for 38,841 individuals in the Mindanao Region.
MAP is PCSO's program focused on assisting medical-related problems of its beneficiaries.
It covers assistance for "confinement, dialysis, cancer treatment, specialty medicines," said in the report.
Chairperson and Ad Interim Anselmo P. Pinili also encouraged those who wish to help the less fortunate through PCSO to patronize all PCSO games and products.
"You can be part of PCSO’s mission of providing much-needed assistance to the needy by just purchasing PCSO tickets, because a big portion of the amount you spend, goes directly to charity," he said. (Luisa Cabato)
