Actress Lotlot de Leon recently reacted to her mom Nora Aunor being named a National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts.
In a recent episode of "Magandang Buhay," Lotlot said she's "proud" of her mom.
"Everyone is… we are all proud of her. Her family is very proud of her," she related.
She went on to relate how Nora herself is thankful for the recognition.
"My mom is grateful for the award na ibinigay nila sa kanya at grateful lang - beyond words...,” was how she put it.
“So, maraming salamat lang sa lahat ng nagtitiwala, sa lahat ng nagmamahal hanggang ngayon… Sa lahat ng ipinaglalaban and Mommy. So, maraming salamat sa inyong lahat.”
Lotlot was absent when the award was received by her siblings in Malacañang.
Matet, Ian, Kiko, and Kenneth, collected the Grand Collar and certificate of the multi-awarded actress-singer.
Jointly administered by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) and conferred by the President of the Philippines, the Order of National Artists is the highest national recognition given to Filipino individuals who have made significant contributions to the development of Philippine Arts.
