Blacklist International is putting its best foot forward as it parades the M3 World Championship winning team when it vies for a spot in the Sibol national team combine for the IESF World Esports Championships in Bali, Indonesia in December.
Failing to utilize the lineup for the Sibol national team in the 31st Southeast Asian Games due to age restrictions, M3 MVP Kiel “Oheb” Soriano and Edward “EDWARD” Dapadap are back in the fold as they join the trio of Jonmar “OhmyV33nus” Villaluna, Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario, Salic “Hadji” Imam for the Sibol qualifiers.
The quintet is part of the team’s dominant run last year where they won two MPL championships in Seasons 7 and 8, bridesmaid finishes in MPL Invitationals and MSC 2021 and the title in the M3 Worlds.
The trio of OhmyV33nus, Hadji and Wise composed the core of the national team that won the gold medal in the SEA Games in Vietnam, defeating a powerhouse cast from Indonesia in the finals.
Blacklist got a direct invitation along with the PH representative in MSC 2022, RSG Philippines, and Smart Omega Esports for the tournament and will get a bye in the first phase of the qualifiers.
Registered teams, including professional teams Bren Esports, Nexplay Evos and ECHO battle in the open qualifier with five slots allotted in the second phase along with the three invited teams.
The top two teams at the end of the tournament will enter a three-day Sibol combine which will serve as the national team’s training pool before the governing body handpicks the members of the national team.
