Communications Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles said this in a press briefing in Malacañang on Wednesday, July 6.

"Not yet. It was not in fact discussed during the Cabinet meeting so we'll wait for that one," Angeles said when asked whether or not the President has accepted the invitation.

"Wala pa talagang (There is still no) acknowledgement. It wasn't even discussed. We'll announce it as soon as it is formal," she added.

European Council President Charles Michel has invited Marcos to visit Brussels to discuss a wide range of issues "at a mutually convenient time."

"We have much to discuss, from our bilateral relations, EU-ASEAN ties, and wider foreign policy issues, to our support for the rules-based international order,” Michel said in his letter to Marcos.

Aside from the European Union, Marcos has also received invitations from the United States.

On Monday, July 4, Angeles said Marcos has yet to identify where his first state visit would be.

It was disclosed that Marcos wants to settle in and check domestic issues first before going on his first state visit.
