LTO OIC named

Lawyer Romeo Vera Cruz, the current executive director of the Land Transportation Office (LTO), was named as the Officer-In-Charge of the agency, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) revealed on Wednesday, July 6.

In a statement, the DOTR said Sec. Jaime J. Bautista chose Vera Cruz to supervise the LTO until such time that the permanent LTO chief is named.

"As OIC of the LTO, Atty. Vera Cruz will perform and discharge the functions and responsibilities of the position until 31 July 2022, or until a replacement has been appointed or designated," the special order issued by Bautista read.

Vera Cruz is authorized to act on administrative and day-to-day functions of the LTO.
