Puregold Price Club, Inc. was awarded as one of the Top 10 Business Tax Payers for 2021 by the City of Manila during the ‘Outstanding Manilan’ awarding ceremony held last June 23, 2022.
The annual event gives recognition to the top taxpaying business corporations and institutions of the City and outstanding Manileños, who have excelled in their respective fields, including the arts, mass media, entertainment, healthcare, police and local government services.
Through the years, Puregold has been consistently recognized by the City of Manila for its continued support to the growth of the city. This commitment has come to the forefront, as Puregold ensured easy and affordable access of goods to all Manileños especially during the pandemic.
During his speech to the award recipients, Mayor Isko Moreno said, “Ganoon din ang ating pagbati sa ating mga negosyante, mga mamumuhunan, mga may-ari ng kumpanya at mga lupang ari-arian, na walang sawang nagtitiwala sa ating lokal na pamahalaan. Sila ay mga modelong mamamayan, sa kadahilanang maging sa panahon ng pandemya, ay hindi nila tinalikuran and kanilang obligasyon sa bayan at sa ating minamahal na lungsod. (That's how we recognize our business owners of companies and properties who continue to pay their taxes and support the local government. They are model citizens even in the time of a pandemic, they did not ignore their duties to the country and city.)”

The ‘Outstanding Manilan’ awarding ceremony was held at the historic Metropolitan Theater, on the eve of the 451st Founding Anniversary of the nation’s capital. The event was capped-off with a tribute to the outgoing Mayor Isko Moreno. The Manila City Council, led by Vice Mayor, Honey Lacuna (also incoming City Mayor), handed over to Mayor Isko a copy of Resolution No. 101, Series of 2022, in recognition of his unparalleled service and dedication to the City of Manila.
