Government anti-narcotics operatives seized P102 million worth of shabu following the arrest of two Chinese nationals on Monday night, July, 4 in a buy-bust operation in Malate, Manila.
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) spokesperson Derrick Carreon said that Bin Hu, 42; and, Jiankang Liang, 42, were arrested at the CCP Bay Terminal Parking Lot in Barangay 720.
The operatives confiscated more or less one kilo of suspected shabu (subject of the buy-bust operation) worth P6.8 million, more or less 14 kilos of valued at P95.2 million (subject of possession), one blue Android OPPO cellular phone and two genuine P1,000 bills used in the transaction.
Hu and Liang face charges for violation of Article II, Republic Act (RA) 9165.
The operation was conducted by the PDEA Regional Office-National Capital Region and Manila Police District Precinct Station 9. (Chito A. Chavez)
