6 Parañaque villages to experience 17-hour water service interruption


Six barangays in Parañaque will be experiencing 17 hours of water service interruption from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Monday, July 4.

The Maynilad Water Services Inc., in Twitter post, said that Barangays BF Homes, Don Bosco, Marcelo Green, San Antonio, San Martin De Porres and Sucat will experience water service interruption due to the raw water quality issue at the Laguna Lake.

The Maynilad said that it will be deploying mobile water tankers to deliver potable water to the affected areas.

On Sunday, July 3, the office of 1st District Rep. Edwin Olivarez deployed water tankers to two barangays in the city after residents experienced water service interruption for almost one day.

Olivarez immediately ordered the deployment of water tankers to Barangays San Antonio and BF Homes to help the affected residents.

The affected residents in Barangay San Antonio were those living at the Fourth Estate and in Barangay BF Homes’ two streets — Dela Rama and J. Estrada.

In Las Piñas City, Maynilad customers received text messages on the water service interruption allegedly due to the high water demand at Bagbag Reservoir

On Sunday, 14 barangays in the city experienced water interruption from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The affected baranagays were Almanza Uno, CAA, Manuyo Dos, Pamplona Dos, Pamplona Tres, Pamplona Uno, Pulanglupa Dos, Pulanglupa Uno, Talon Dos,Talon Kuatro, Talon Singko, Talon Tres, Talon Uno, and Zapote.
