The Duterte Administration will conclude a P14-Billion contribution by the E-commerce community in the Philippines from its 2020 revenue of P12 Billion. The industry players attribute the increase primarily on the consumer behavior that was developed during pandemic where most consumers learned the value and convenience of online shopping. E-commerce Association of the Philippines (ECAP) President, Nani Razon is optimistic that President-Elect Bong Bong Marcos will continue and support the Ecommerce sector to multiply its revenue up to the end of his term. Chairman Jhopet Fines added that the victory of President-Elect Marcos and Vice- President Elect Sarah Duterte is an indication of how powerful social media is, to which directly assumes the power of digital marketing. ECAP is very much looking forward that the new administration will continue and will bring more opportunities and support for the digital commerce industry especially the infrastructure for information, communications and technology.
