It’s going to be a big day for incoming President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr., who finds himself returning to a place he called home for 20 years, and taking on the shoes once filled by his late father Ferdinand Sr. after he is inaugurated as the Philippines’ 17th President on Thursday, June 30, 2022.
The historic day will also draw to a close a storied six-year term by President Duterte who will step down as the most popular president the country ever had.
Vice President Leni Robredo will be looking at more time to watch K-dramas, and read more books, especially after her office got another affirmation from the Commission on Audit (COA) with its highest audit rating for the fourth time.
More appointments were also made by Marcos as he named former Solicitor General Jose Calida as the next COA chair, and banker Wick Veloso as head of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS).
