Driver, helper killed in Nueva Vizcaya truck crash

DUPAX del Sur, Nueva Vizcaya – A driver and his helper were killed when their Isuzu trailer truck crashed and tilted to its side on the national highway in Barangay Gabut here Monday, June 27.

A report from Police Major Nova Lyn C. Aggasid, Nueva Vizcaya Police Provincial Office information officer, identified the victims as Raymond Santos, 35, single, truck driver, of San Ramon, Isabela, and truck helper Mark Anthony Juan.

Investigation revealed that Santos lost control of the truck loaded with feeds and dog food while negotiating a sharp curve and turned to its right side then crashed into concrete barriers on the shoulder.

The victims were pinned by the truck but were freed and taken by rescuers to the Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Hospital where they were declared dead from serious injuries.
