Delivery rider of popular online shop arrested for alleged theft


QUEZON, Nueva Vizcaya -- A 28-year old delivery rider of popular online shop was arrested allegedly for his involvement in a crime of theft.

Police said Orlando Lorenzo Apelado Jr, a resident of Sitio Casitrusan, Brgy. Buliwao, Quezon, Nueva Vizcaya was arrested on Monday, June 27.

The Quezon Police had been monitoring the movement of the suspect until they gathered enough information on his whereabouts.

Major Anthony C. Ayungo, Chief of Police, led his personnel in arresting the the suspect by virtue of a warrant of arrest for the crime of theft issued by Hon. Francisco O. Pilpil, Presiding Judge of the Municipal Trial Court of Solano and dated June 17, 2022.

The recommended bail bond for his temporary liberty was 6,000.

The suspect is now under the custody of Quezon Police for booking procedure, before he is turned over to court of origin.

Meanwhile, a merchandiser was turned over to the Tuguegarao City Police for alleged qualified theft inside the SM Savemore Market of Mall of the Valley, at Gomez Street and Gonzaga Street corner Del Rosario Street, Brgy. Centro 7, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.

The suspect was identified as Elfren Jay Alipio, 24, a resident of #117 Langcay Street, Brgy. Linao East, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.

The alleged theft incident transpired at around 10:50 a.m. of June 26, 2022 inside the SM Savemore Market of Mall.

A security guard saw the suspect allegedly trying to steal one unit of Db Audio Astron-70w amounting to P5399.

The suspect was later turned over to Tuguegarao City Police.
