Callalily's drummer Lem Belaro is seemingly throwing shade at recent revelations of the camp of their band's former vocalist Kean Cipriano.
This month, Lem flooded his Facebook page with posts like:
"Pwede ka mang budol basta walang gamitan ng kanta ko. (face with tears of joy emoji) Tininiw…..
"Si Lem tahimik lang.... #trademark #tvpatrolnews
"Asking for a friend lang. Pag ikaw ba bokalista ikaw din dapat may ari ng buong banda? 17 years daw kasi nilang pinaghirapan yun lahat tapos mapupunta lang sa isang tao. Pero ok lang daw magpaubaya na lang. #trademark."
Lem also replied to a commenter who wrote: "sana ol ng reregister ng nd pinapa alam."
He answered: "nakalimutan lang sabihin 3x grabe ka naman."
The artist also reposted a video of Kean's interview opening up about his relationship with Callalily.
"“At binitbit bit bit bit sabi ng tsuper ng jeep” Kame nalang mag adjust (smiling face with smiling eyes emoji)," his caption read.
Note that Lem recently announced about LILY searching for a vocalist.
According to him, the grand winner will get 250K, a recording contract, and a local and international tour.
Recall that in an interview with PUSH some days ago, Kean - Chairman and CEO of O/C Records - admitted that Callalilly is "done."
"Callalily is done. I’m moving on, I’ve move on, moving forward and I wish them all the best," he said.
Kean continued: “I mean we’re okay na parang... I think in a group, magkakasama kayo for 17 years, marami na rin nangyari and I don’t think medyo matagal na rin kaming hindi okay so, alam mo ‘yun parang ibang chapter naman for us.”
He hopes LILY will find their new vocalist.
“I hope they find it, kung sino man. I mean you know I wish them really all the best ‘di ba like I said, Callalilly is done and kung ano man ang gusto nilang dalhin… I mean,’yun naman talaga ang point nito ‘di ba na in ten years babalikan naming lahat and papasalamatan namin ang isa’t-isa and that was a good call di ba? ‘Yung growth natin, iba na siya ngayon, I wish them well.”
Meanwhile, in an interview of GMA News Online with Kean's wife, O/C Records Vice President and actress Chynna Ortaleza, the latter detailed why her husband decided to leave the set-up of being in a band.
There, she reiterated that Callalily will stay with Kean.
"Callalily kasi was always under his intellectual property. The brand stays with him," was how she put it.
“If I look kasi into how it’s being phrased at the moment, siyempre it’s easy to say na, 'O, he left Callalily.' But he just left the format of the band. He did disengage with his former bandmates but the name Callalily stays with Kean Cipriano,” she reiterated.
Chynna also reacted to Kean being tagged as a "stealer."
“But I don’t think they understood what that meant. And it’s being loosely thrown in social media na he stole (the name). Sabi ko nga, we know the truth naman and if they cannot understand what happened, I guess that’s just how the story is. And they have more years ahead of them to learn about the rights and the business of music," she related.
According to her, they really wanted to fix things legally.
"Sino ba naman yung gustong to leave things in the air na hindi siya plantsado?," she maintained.
Chynna revealed how Kean was actively trying to set a meeting with them.
"Because he had the best intentions for his bandmates as well," she said. "It was more of a decision of progressive growth for each member than a solo decision na ‘I want out.’ Hindi siya ganun."
She admitted that Kean and his former bandmates are no longer "on good terms."
"It’s just very unfortunate that his bandmates didn’t want to talk to us anymore, despite the continued efforts of trying to get in touch with them because we want to fix things," Chynna said.
"Kean was really trying his best to reach out, but he just kept on getting no replies, e. They didn’t want to talk to him. But I guess that’s just how their response is, and we really can’t do anything about it," she added.
"Kean naman is very open-minded, and you can’t force a certain kind of reaction sa mga taong hindi ready or hindi nakikita yung paths (for growth)."
