DZBB, Barangay LS remain no. 1 in Mega Manila

Super Radyo DZBB 594 and Barangay LS 97.1 maintained their position as the number one AM and FM stations in Mega Manila. 

As shown in Nielsen’s Radio Audience Measurement (RAM) data for May 2022, GMA’s flagship AM station Super Radyo DZBB 594 remained to be the highest rating AM station in Mega Manila with an audience share of 42.9 percent. It scored 16.4 points higher than its nearest competitor, DZRH.  

With a total reach of 1.3 million listeners in May, DZBB’s loyal listeners further increased to 91.4 percent during the said month.

The morning block was still the station’s highest-rating daypart with rating improvements seen as well in the early morning, afternoon, and evening blocks. The top program for the month was “Melo del Prado sa Super Radyo,” followed by the Saturday edition of “Dobol Weng sa Dobol B,” and “Buena Manong Balita.”   

A new DZBB program “Golden Memories with Richard Enriquez” begins this June 27. Hosted by veteran program host and radio DJ Richard Enriquez, the show brings back the feeling of nostalgia and accompanies listeners to a musical journey featuring the classics and hits of the 60s and 70s. It airs Monday to Friday from 12 midnight to 3 a.m.           

Meanwhile, flagship FM station Barangay LS 97.1 Forever! similarly kept its dominance anew in Mega Manila with 40.6 percent audience share for the month of May. It was 26.4 points ahead of rival, 90.7 Love Radio. 

The station’s total reach was 6.3 million with 82.6 percent loyal listeners for the said period.

The 12 nn to 2 p.m. segment was still the top-rating daypart, which was the time slot of the undisputed number one FM program “Barangay Love Stories” hosted by Papa Dudut. 

Barangay LS shows “Talk to Papa,” “Potpot & Friends,” “Songbook,” and “Forever Request” were also some of the ratings drivers for the station in May.

Netizens can also catch some of Barangay LS’ well-loved shows on YouTube with new episodes every week, and get the latest updates on its official accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Tiktok. They can also continue listening to the Barangay Love Stories Podcast on Spotify and iTunes. 

Tune in to Super Radyo DZBB 594 kHz and Barangay LS 97.1 Forever! Mondays to Sundays. Select DZBB programs are also simulcast via Dobol B TV on GTV, and abroad on GMA News TV. Netizens can also catch DZBB stories on Tiktok.
