Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” on Thursday, June 23, declared June 30, 2022 as a special non-working holiday in Manila City for the inauguration of President-elect Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
Domagoso signed Executive Order (EO) No. 53 or an order declaring June 30, 2022 as a special non-working holiday throughout the City of Manila “to ensure the safety, security and protection of participants to this momentous event.”
It added that the city government will have to close various thoroughfare within the perimeter of the venue and will affect the flow of traffic of both motorists and the riding public.
The inauguration of Marcos Jr. will be held at the National Museum in Manila.
“It is but fitting that all citizens of the country, in general, and residents of the CIyu of Manila, in particular, be given opportunity to witness and welcome this significnt event in the life of the nation,” the order stated.
